Gainesboro Tennessee is the home of Therold's Little Opry. For over sixty years Bluegrass music has grown and blossomed in this little middle Tennessee town. Meeting on the second Saturday of every month at 6pm, the Little Opry is more than an informal gathering of musicians. It is the heart and soul of Tennessee music.
Granville Heritage Day is a festival that brings locals and visitors together to celebrate local heritage of this small Tennessee town along the banks of the Cumberland River. An anitqiue tractor and car show, bluegrass music, and a varitety of food vendors make this a very popular small town festival.
Cancer treatment, love potion, writing ink...breakfast: the Poke Sallet weed has had many uses throughout the centuries to those that lived in the Cumberlands. Gainesboro has a long history of celebrating our southern heritage by paying tribute to this unique aspect of our local cultural cuisine with cultural activities and local music.
