Muddy Roots isn’t just a festival my friends. No. It’s an act of solidarity. It is a force of the collective Will of real roots fans united from disparate backgrounds, coming together to say “We are here, and things can work differently.” It is proof that music can be true to it’s roots, while still innovating and moving forward.


This restaurant is a Cookeville favorite across from Tennessee Tech University specializing in authentic Thai cuisine. It is a relaxed atmosphere and with high quality food and presentation at afordable prices. If you like Thai food or curry then this is a must. Try the area favorite - Mango Curry!


Cummins Falls was recently dedicated as the 54th State Park in Tennessee. It cascades 50 feet into one of the best swimming holes in the southeast. The hiking to the base of the falls was previously quite risky and mostly accessible to a younger more adventurous crowd, but work is currenlty underway to make this swimming hole and the falls accessible to all.


DelMonaco Winery and Vineyards is a small, family-run business. DelMonaco makes a variety of wines which are grown from grapes on site. They produce, whites, reds and dessert style wines that will please a range of palates. Free tastings of all wines and winery tours available daily.


This quaint and rustic park is noted for its outstanding scenery, spring wildflowers, fossils and other natural diversity.
