The country setting of the June and August festivals at the Edmon's Family Farm cannot be surpassed. The home-cooked food available at the concession stand have the unmistakable Southern touch, and are one of the nicest features of the festival. Other amenities include covered, shaded seating, real toilets and showers, and grass-covered camping spots under the trees by a creek, all at a very reasonable price.

This 8.46 mile trail is a moderately rated hike starting from the picnic area on Shut-in Gap Road. The Twin Rocks Nature Trail takes off to the left about .1 miles from the picnic area. The trail continues up the slope, then follows the side of the mountain for another 3/4 miles, where a trail branches off to descend to the river.

An original log church was built by Thomas Swafford in the 1820s and was served by circuit riding preachers. The lumber of a second building is said to have been used to build barracks for Federal soldiers during the Civil War. The current structure was built in 1912 as a part of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South.
