Yuchi Wildlife Management Area

Smith Bend / Yuchi Refuge is a unique 2,500 acre tract on the Tennessee River, with three miles of riverfront, 1,000 acres of wetland and 1,500 acres of upland forest.

Laurel Snow State Natural Area

This 2,259-acre natural area located in Rhea County is home to the 80 ft. tall Laurel Falls and the 35 ft. Snow Falls. Both of these waterfalls can be reached with a 7 mile round-trip hike that is a segment of the greater Cumberland Trail. It is a very popular destination for simmers and is rated a class V for paddlers.

Piney Falls State Natural Area

Piney Falls State Natural Area is a 440-acre natural area insulating the 80 ft. Piney Falls and a pristine forestland featuring creeks, deep gorges, waterfalls and old growth forest. This National Natural Landmark is an easily accessible waterfall requiring a short hike.

Cumberland Mountain State Park

This is a very historic state park. The site was part of the Cumberland Homesteads, which was a program of the New Deal in the 1930s. In addition to the incredibly scenic location along the dam of Byrds Creek, the park also features six hiking trails, totaling about 15 miles.

Cumberland Homesteads Tower Museum

As the largest historic district in Tennessee, the Cumberland Homesteads is one of the New Deal Communities built by the Division of Subsistence Homesteads between 1934 and 1938. Discover this unique community, planned by architect, William Stanton with a tour to the Homesteads Tower Museum.

Dunlap Restaurant

Nestled in the beautiful Sequatchie Valley, a short 30 minute drive from Chattanooga, Dunlap Tennessee is a delightful town of Tradition and Progress. The Dunlap Restaurant, part of that progress and tradition, was opened in 1962 and later purchased by the Tate Family in 1988. Read Reviews
