Canoe the Sequatchie

Canoe trips from two hours to a full-day. Suitable for children. Fishing, swimming, wading, picnicking and full activities on the Sequatchie River.

Coke Ovens Museum

The Sequatchie Valley Historical Association, formed in 1984, set a goal to build an exact full size replica of the original coal company store "Commissary". Hundreds of donated mining artifacts are on display inside the museum. The museum currently houses the largest collection of regional historic coal mining photographs in the state of Tennessee.

A Tennessee Guest Ranch

Tennessee Guest Ranch is a horseback riding guest ranch located nearby Chattanooga, TN in the Sequatchie Valley. If you love nature and lush hill-land farms then it won't be hard for you to find things to do in TN's Sequatchie Valley. A Tennessee Guest Ranch provides a great family ranch vacation.

Greeter Falls

The Upper and Lower Greeter Falls can be accessed from the Stone Door entrance of the Savage Gulf State Natural Area in Beersheba Springs. The hike is a 2 mile round trip demanding some agility and strength, but you are guaranteed a cool swim in the blue hole even in the driest, hottest summer days.

Savage Gulf State Natural Area (Stone Door entrance)

Savage Gulf is 15,590-acre natural area located in Grundy and Sequatchie Counties. Carved like a giant crowfoot into the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau, it is one of Tennessee's most scenic wilderness areas and contains over 50 miles of hiking trails.

North Chickamauga Creek State Natural Area

North Chickamauga Creek SNA is one of the most natural things to do in near Chattanooga - one of Tennessee's most happening metropolitan areas. This 7,093 acre natural area will serve as an important trailhead for the 300 mile Cumberland Trail and is also a popular destination for kayakers.
